The implication the text gives is that anyone who gets close enough to see makes the silhouette dies, and that’s why so many ships vanish in the Florian Triangle.

It is my belief that the shadow seen in the mist is in fact one of the Ancient Weapons. The hundreds of ships which are lost in the Florian Triangle each year are those which, by chance, come close enough to the Weapon to see it directly. They are then immediately annihilated because they don’t have the access codes (or some exotic equivalent) required to approach it safely.

I know *I* wouldn’t leave an Ancient Weapon floating around where every Joe Sailor could find it without taking *some* precautions.

first off – one piece rocks \m/! Emote Control..youre so right behind the reasoning of that stories and rumors turn out to be real. and also it makes sense that that each of Luffys Nakama will become much more powerful as a result of the island they land on..or at least benefit from it in some way! like robin with the blank century, nami with the weather, franky with robotics (it is hinted that he landed on vegapunk’s birth place island..hence the cyborg dog ) and etc..

also justsurfingaround..are you referring to the shadows in the sea throught the mist..the ones with gleaming eyes?

I do not think that Croc will be at floor 5 since his bounty is not high enoug (100 million is required am I right?) And also I do not like your baroque works theory…why only them…would be sort of weird to sort it out like this.

what really bothers me is the shadows shown when mugiwara crew left thriller bark. i hope we can learn more about it at level 6(as buggy mention the rumor of monsters at level 6) along with blank century
