Out to try and save Rourusuke, Naruto and the others ambush members of the Kurosuke Family and save an old man. They soon here the funeral bell and go and save Rourusuke. However, Rock lee meets an old friend among the group, and Lee must now convince Karashi to return his his old way of life. Their time together is cut short, as Raiga watches from the sidelines. Can Naruto, Neji, Rock Lee, and Tenten defeat an enemy that not even Neji's Byakugan can see?
Rokusuke is at a burial site, trying to dig out anyone who's still alive. He's caught by hooded men before he can make any progress.
Neji and his squad arrive at Katabame Kinzan. As expected, Naruto wants to jump right into the situation, contrary to what the others wish to do. Lee wishes to go in based on what Gai told him, though Tenten doubts what he said was true.
Rokusuke's plan has been revealed to the hooded men and Raiga, who feigns sorrow and sadness. He decides on one possible solution: Rokusuke's funeral.
Naruto sees some workers bringing what Lee says are minerals that become pure gold when mixed with mercury. One of the men collapses and is threatened with a funeral, but before Naruto can spring into action, Lee is one step ahead of him and takes the men out. This is not what the exhausted man wanted and plans to knock himself out, as he'd probably be killed if he's the only one standing and the others are not. A gong is heard, meaning a funeral is taking place.
Rokusuke is being cared to his burial site while still alive. Raiga begins conversing with that timid voice from the last episode about how he promised to free Katabame Kinzan from debt. The timid voice asks if its funeral will be as lavish, but Raiga insists that it will not die until he dies.
Higher up, Byakugan reveals that Rokusuke is indeed inside of the coffin. Before the men can do anything else, Lee, Naruto, Neji, and Tenten go on the offensive and attack. The men are taken care of with relative ease, except for the last one that Lee is about to strike until he stops and recognizes the man as Karashi-san. Karashi defends joining with Raiga by saying that Raiga kicked all of the evil out of Katamake Kinzan. Lee tries some Q&A as to why Karashi would join with a family that kills innocent people. Karashi tells them that he isn't praised for making curry and that joining Raiga is better than working in a rundown curry store that barely gets any publicity. Naruto's pissed off at this guy's arrogance and is about to punch his lights out until Karashi is already knocked back by another punch...from Lee.
