The group has managed to locate Arashi, but he's not the same Arashi that Sasame once knew. When Arashi begins attacking them, will Sasame have the strength to face him? Meanwhile, Sakura, after realizing how far Naruto went to protect her, decides that it's time she took some initiative.
Naruto, Sakura, Sasame, and Gamakichi have found Arashi, although Arashi has changed. He is now some kind of monster with Kamikiri and Jigumo's bodies merged into his own body. Sasame begs Arashi to come with her back to the clan, but Arashi tells her that the cousin she once knew is now dead. Arashi uses Jigumo's body to attack Naruto. Naruto jumps off the columns and Jigumo's web attack catches him and forms a cocoon around him. Arashi then prepares to deliver the final blow as Sakura rushes in. He cuts the cocoon in half and prepares to kill Sakura. He slashes at her, but the real Naruto (the one in the cocoon was a clone) jumps in and blocks the blow with his body and receives a bad wound on his back. He then uses his Shadow Clone Jutsu to form four clones and attacks Arashi. Arashi beats off the clones and knocks Naruto against a column. Sakura runs to Naruto and sees that he is hurt more. Arashi then uses a containment jutsu and fires it at Sakura. Naruto pushes her out of the way and becomes trapped himself. Arashi then begins to compress the trap and squeeze Naruto to death. Sasame jumps in and stabs the body of Jigumo. Jigumo's body loses form and falls to the floor. Arashi gains his senses for a short while until Kamikiri's body responds and causes Arashi to go back to his evil personality. He then starts to compress Naruto again and Sasame interferes. Arashi then starts to deliver a fatal blow to Sasame when Sakura blocks it. Arashi then prepares to kill Sakura and Naruto breaks free of the trap causing a large explosion. The body of Kamikiri is hit and it melts away. Arashi then grabs Sasame and protects her from the debris. Jiraiya shows up just in time to summon a giant toad and stop the ceiling from collapsing. He tells everyone to get on the toad and he sees Arashi holding Sasame. Arashi throws Sasame to Jiraiya and tells them that his place is there. He cannot return home much to Sasame's dismay. They get out of Orochimaru's hideout just as everything collapses. Before they go, Arashi tells them that Sasuke is alive and it will be three years before Orochimaru can take his body. Jiraiya, Naruto, and Sakura take Sasame to the Fuma clan in town and head back to the village. Once they get back, Naruto is put back in the hospital to recover from his injuries and Sakura decides that she will train under Lady Tsunade to become a medical ninja.
